Projects under Kazo community organization

Women Empowerment Project

This Project is set to empower 10,200 Women and Girls in Human rights awareness, education,
entrepreneurial skills, skills development, financial empowerment through various modes that
include; formal and informal trainings, role modeling and mentoring, provision of school fees and
scholastic materials to bring up holistically transformed and emancipated women and girls who
will confidently contribute to decisions on issues affecting.

Challenges
Women and girls in Kazo central have suffered injustice, ignorance, illiteracy, discrimination,
inequality, hunger, limited girl child education.

Sewing Machine Project
The project was started early this year due to the pandemic. The pandemic affected families in
our community where parents are finding it hard to get there children back to school because of
the school fees. The program have attracted youths in the community but due to luck of enough
sewing machine we have decided to have limited number of students under the program.

School Program
The school was started for the orphans under our orphanage center but due to the demand from
our community. We decided that the school will welcome also children from poor families. We
have 178 children under our school program.

Orphanage Center
The center was started to rehabilitate children who lost their parents. The children come from
families that where affected by HIV/Aids.

Volunteers Program
Volunteer opportunities at kazo community org are extremely varied and involvement can range
from a few days to few months or longer. Anything in between all we ask is that volunteers who
have interest and passion for others.
